The challenge
The client came to us with a clear goal — open datasets with APIs and visualisations for citizens. The hard part was accessibility for every citizen, on every device.
Our approach
We started with a short discovery sprint to map the users, the data and the constraints, then moved into weekly cycles with working software in a shared workspace. Consulting, Product Research, Development and Prototyping ran as one team, so research fed design and design fed engineering without handoffs.
The platform was built on Web, APIs and Charts, with automated tests and monitoring from the first release.
The result
900 datasets. The product launched in 19 weeks and we stayed on for the releases that followed — fixing what users tripped over and doubling down on what they loved.
